Autonomous Navigation

There are two components to autonomous navigation of vehicles:


Mapping Element

A mapping element that uses a Geographic Information System (GIS) to reference the vehicle to its position.


Scene Recognition Element

A scene recognition element that accurately registers the orientation of the vehicle and identifies other transient object in the scene, such as vehicles, pedestrians and the state of such items as traffic lights.

Aralia’s data mining capability, incorporating the ability to automatically extract accurate metadata from images and data, facilitates the task of precisely registering the location of autonomous vehicles.
